I hope that all is well, as it appears that we are looking at Covid in the rear-view mirror.

Several updates on what is going on with the POA:

Please check the website for updates on road paving scheduled for later this year. Thanks to Vic Del Pizzo and John Brodie for their work.

Speed continues to be a concern in the community. Our posted speed is 20 MPH. With the warmer months, and more walkers on the road, we ask that you please watch your speed.  We will also be adding additional speed limit signs in the community.

To hopefully slow traffic, we will be installing 5 speed bumps on Club Road, adding an additional speed bump on Hooper Creek, and one on Blackbird. This work should be done within the next 2-3 weeks. Also, we are adding 2 stop signs on Hooper Creek Road at Red Fox Circle (North) to now make that intersection a three way stop. Once installed, please observe the stop signs.

With Hurricane season already here, we ask that you keep your property cleaned and free of trees, and hanging branches, that may fall on the roads. The Board’s position is that we will keep the roads clear, even if we have to contract it out, and will bill the property owners, if trees fall from your property.

The back gate has been repaired again. If you require the code, contact us thru the website.  Please refrain from giving the code out to other people.  Gate remote openers are available for $25.

Finally, the board has had several requests for a return of the social event that we used to have annually in the fall. To that end, our Secretary, Carolyn Jones, has reserved the FENCE facility on Hunting Country for Saturday October 9th (5:30pm -8:30).

We will charge $5.00 per person to cover costs, with kids free.

POA to provide Brats, burgers, hot dogs, tea and soda. We are asking each family to bring a side dish, or dessert to pass, and any adult beverage you wish to consume. We think this will be a great opportunity to meet new neighbors, renew friendships with other residents and hopefully have a great  time.   After a year plus of little interaction, we hope to see a large group attend. Since this is an indoor / outdoor facility, we plan  to hold rain or shine.

Look for more details in the near future, on the website:

Many of you know that Jim Baker, a Board and ARC committee member, has sold his home, is retiring, and is moving to Northern, North Carolina. We wish to thank Jim for his involvement in the community, and wish him a happy retirement. If anyone is interested on serving on the board or ARC committee, please contact us thru the website, or call me. Thanks to all of you for your support.
